I remember sitting in my guidance counselors office, my freshman year of high school, and I recall the counselor telling my parents that I wasn’t college material. He suggested I persue business and home economics classes because I struggled in school with a learning disability. But, all I ever wanted to do was go to college. I decided I wouldn’t give up on my dream even though it made me very nervous. I researched colleges and found Southern Vermont College, a school that specialized in helping students with disabilities. I saw an opportunity that would allow me to accomplish my dream. Southern Vermont College gave me the chance that I needed to prove to that counselor that I was college material. This school gave me the confidence I needed to go out ino the world to start a career. I owe so much to the professors and the faculty of Southern Vermont College. Thank you for giving the opportunity to students like Me.
